National Health Center Week (NHCW) 2026 will be held from August 2-8, 2026. Join us in celebrating and recognizing the vital work of our Community Health Center (CHC).
Every August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) sponsors NHCW to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s 1,512 Community Health Centers (CHCs) of which we have 18. This year, we are highlighting our past, celebrating our present and anticipating the future by way of daily social media posts and news stories. Each day will have a different focus:
- Monday, August 3: Public Health Origins
- Tuesday, August 4: Pivot to Health Center System
- Wednesday, August 5: School Based Clinics
- Thursday, August 6: Where We Are Now
- Friday, August 7: Expansion of Service Areas

NHCW 2026 Theme: Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most
This year’s theme celebrates how CHCs use creativity and commitment to advance innovative solutions that meet patients where they are and improve primary care delivery, access, and outcomes nationwide. This includes partnering with key stakeholders and elected officials to strengthen relationships that support high-quality, patient-centered care in the communities they serve.
