Upcoming Changes to Medicaid and Oregon Health Plan (OHP)
While the rules are changing in 2027, you can still qualify for coverage. Applicants will be reviewed for qualifying work or activities. These can be:
- Making more than $580 per month of household income
- Being in school at least half-time.
- A combination of work, volunteer, education, or training programs that add up to 80 hours a month.
However, there are many exemptions from those rules. For example:
- Are you pregnant or were recently pregnant? It qualifies!
- Do you care for a child under 14? Or someone who has a disability? It qualifies!
You can find a list of qualifying work, activities, and exemptions at our Medicaid changes webpage.
