Our refugee program
We work with local organizations to help new refugees and immigrants get settled in Multnomah County.
Our Mid County clinic offers a special program to help refugees work with the US health system to get care.
How we can help
The refugee program at our Mid County clinic can help you understand and follow US and Oregon laws and rules from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
We can also help with:
- Medical screening and tests
- Vaccinations and immunizations
- Medications and prescriptions
- Filling out forms for schools
- Health requirements for green cards
- Case management
- Support in many languages

Your first visits
Your first two visits will be at our Mid County clinic. You can ask for an interpreter to help in your language. Here’s what to expect.
Your first visit
A provider will ask you questions about your health and your family. We will also draw blood to perform some lab tests.
Your second visit
A provider will perform a medical exam, explain test results, and give you vaccinations. You can also get any medication you need.
Other visits
We can help you and your family become patients at a clinic near you. We can also help you sign up for medical insurance.
